The Sirius Team
Deborah Dorchak. Founder and Lead Designer of Sirius Graphix, Deb has been a graphic designer for more than 25 years and an artist since she could hold a crayon. She’s worked in the graphics industry doing everything from newspaper and glossy magazine layout to animation in Las Vegas’ largest and oldest sign company. Deb got her start in Illustration, and her passion for telling stories through images hasn’t wavered yet. She graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in Scientific Illustration and currently lives in Las Vegas, dividing her downtime between several passions; iaido, archery, motorcycles, fiction writing, and catering to the two cutest cats in the world.
Wendi Kelly. Co-Founder and Marketing Director of the Sirius Team, Wendi has had an extensive background specializing in business management, sales, and marketing. Her particular niche working with business entrepreneurs led to a career in strategic market consulting for small to medium businesses, teaching business owners how to define their objectives, goals, and key client profiles. Her true gift is in teaching them how to be a visionary in their own future and to create the steps to making that future come true. Wendi also has thirty-five years invested in the Not-for-Profit sector ranging from PR, marketing, and promotions, to theater, art, writing, and directing. She enjoys finding ways to use her talents as an artist, writer, actress, and director to help others achieve their goals through artistic mediums.
Rose Redelfs. Ever aspiring to lofty heights of wordcrafting, Rose’s love for language led her to pursue editing as a hobby even before it was a career. From her older brother’s assignments in high school to unpaid freelance editing as an English Writing major at Wheaton College, she’s been chasing perfect sentences all her life and isn’t planning to give up the hunt anytime soon. Old enough to be considered an adult but young enough to appreciate it, Rose lives in North Carolina and spends her free time reading, writing, dabbling in graphic design, and plotting the kidnapping of Deb’s feline boyos.
Allison Day. You might not expect there to be a lot of talent behind that pretty of a smile, but there’s a lot about our resident techie that might surprise you. By day, Allison writes code for a living and runs two delectable food blogs. By night, our fair coder is an aspiring ballerina. She graduated from University of California, Irvine with a degree in Economics and dabbles in photography, creative writing, and trying to change the world one line of code at a time. She lives in California, where she’s spoiled by pleasant weather all year long and spends her free time baking cookies for her beloved friends.
Phu Son Nguyen. Son graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Master’s degree in Computer Science and now works as a software engineer at one of the world’s top internet companies. The talent he brings to Sirius, however, is not at the keyboard, but rather behind the lens. He began photographing food for Allison’s cooking blogs as a hobby several years ago, and has recently broadened his horizons to professional-grade portrait and stock photography. Programming and photography take up a good part of his day, but he still makes time for his passions: all things basketball and spending countless hours on his XBox 360.
